Puppy/Kitten Care
Why boosters?
- Puppies and Kittens need vaccines early in life as antibodies they receive from their mother start to decrease around 6-8 weeks of age. It is during this time that puppies and kittens need to start building their own immunity through vaccines.
- It is necessary to boost vaccines to allow for growth and expansion of the immune response in order to fight off infection upon exposure to the actual disease.
It is recommended to keep your puppy/kitten away from other un-vaccinated animals while the vaccination process is going on and also keep them away from places with multiple animal exposure. For dogs this means, you should refrain from walks outside until all vaccine boosters have been administered.
Below is our Puppy / Kitten Health Package we provide at both facilities. Please feel free to call with any/all questions you may have.
